Inductions are not mandatory at Factory Gyms, however, if you are unfamiliar with any of the equipment or new to gyms in general, we strongly suggest you undergo an induction. The inductions are free of charge, but need to be booked in advance.

What is an induction?

A typical induction lasts 30-40 minutes and will involve some exercise – so wear your gym kit. The instructor will demonstrate use of the cardio, fixed resistance, HumanSport and cable weighted machines. The induction also provides an opportunity to discuss your goals and training plan with a fitness expert.

What isn’t included?

Please note that the induction does not include demonstration of free weights and Olympic lifts. Individuals should not undertake advanced resistance training without prior experience or additional tuition as incorrect technique can cause severe injury.

If you are interested in learning more about resistance training, Factory Gyms offers a variety of weightlifting services, including one-to-one tuition with Bodybuilding expert Matt Lazenby, one-to-one tuition with Strength & Conditioning Coach Tom Robertson and a weight lifting school.
