Background: From and early age I was interested in sports and competition. While in school I trained and graded in karate & judo and began playing rugby from the age of 8 and subsequently played at school, university and club level. More recently I have trained in Muay Thai Kickboxing with the Scottish Muay Thai Council and have been trying my hand at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

I completed my Personal Training Diploma in 2004 and have been running my own business as a personal trainer ever since. I have also been involved in coaching rugby, football, hockey and more recently have worked with professional sports teams, including Leicester Tigers Rugby Club and Kilmarnock Football Club. I have also worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for Falkirk Football Club’s youth development programme, which involved training players from the U-14s through to U-19s squads. I am currently working with Lismore Rugby Club and Gyle Strollers U-21’s Football Club by running fitness & conditioning training sessions for them at Factory Gyms.

Specialities: Olympic weightlifting (Clean & Jerk, Snatch) and power-lifting (Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press) technique/performance training & coaching, individualised training programs, sports-specific & functional training, core-conditioning, nutrition management, (fat loss, lean muscle gain, healthy living).
